New York, NY -- November 23, 2019

Fantastic, solemn, slow and beautiful "Lenny Bruce" on piano---not a peep from the audience (except for my remarks and whistling)---sweet "Girl of the North Country" also on piano---awesome honky tonk "Serve Somebody" with Charlie Sexton's new twangy Texas guitar lick, "Honest With Me," with another great twangy rockabilly riff/lick from Charlie . . . lots of fiddle, touching "Masterpiece"---Bobby's singing was great, clear, NO huge huge hits, although "It Ain't Me, Babe" and "A Simple Twist of Fate" were included . . . "Things Have Changed," a more mellow "Pay in Blood," "Thunder on the Mountain"---cruising and transcendental. GREAT show---Sat Nov 23, Beacon Theater, NYC. Oh: "Train to Cry" kills----kills-----!!!
